There are numerous opportunities for bicycling, from mild to totally wild!
* For family rides, a paved bike path runs north from Breckenridge down to Frisco. From there you can ride around Lake Dillon or for hardy athletes, over to Copper Mountain, up Vail pass, and down into the Town of Vail.
* Breckenridge is surrounded by the White River national forest which host hundreds of miles of Mountain Bike trails.
* Downhillers can also ride the single track of the Mountain Bike Park (ski area) in the summer.
All types of Bike Rentals are available in town (including trailers for the little ones).
All levels of Hiking Trails are available throughout the National Forests that surround Breckenridge. For Peak Baggers, Quandary Peak (a 14er) is a short drive south of town. And the Gore-Eagles Nest Wilderness Area offers a chance to really "get away from it all" just north of town.
